FORT TEJON, Calif. (KERO) — The Kern County Board of Supervisors approved a letter to Governor Gavin Newsom asking his office to sign off on plans for the construction of a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino south of Bakersfield.

The letter asks Newsom for concurrence with the U.S. Department of the Interior's Record of Decision for the Tejon Indian Tribe's proposal and requests the governor's enactment of a tribal-state gaming compact.
