When was the last time you went to a casino? If it was pre-COVID, you probably remember the crowds, the packed seats at slot machines and table games and a line for the buffet — all hallmarks of the casino experience.

Since the start of the pandemic seven months ago, the casinos have transformed and we’ve been there to witness the evolution. We stood in lines wearing face coverings waiting for a temperature check; walked reconfigured gaming floors; saw new restaurants replace buffets and watched many of the casinos take a firm anti-smoking stance.
