Cathedral City OKs pacts with Agua Caliente tribe for casino at Highway 111, Date Palm Drive

The tribe will acquire 12.5 acres of land on the northwest corner of East Palm Canyon Drive and Date Palm Drive, paying $5.5 million to a nonprofit that acts as a developer for downtown Cathedral City. produced by Marie McCain/The Desert Sun.

 Cathedral City is one step closer to getting a casino downtown after the Cathedral City Council signed off on a series of agreements Wednesday night with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.
