Gov. Gavin Newsom and his allies so far have overwhelmingly outraised the organizers and opponents seeking to remove the first-term governor.

And just weeks from when ballots will be mailed out for California's upcoming recall election, that trend has been consistent in the Coachella Valley, where the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, several other area tribes, a handful of political organizations and a local solar company have gotten involved in the competing campaign efforts, with most supporting Newsom.
