Jackson Rancheria to gain over 800 acres of tribal land after federal trust decision

The tribe that runs the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is set to expand its tribal lands by more than 800 acres in Amador County.

Last month the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs released a notice that it would take 13 parcels of land into trust on behalf of the Jackson Band of Miwuk Indians. The parcels add up to 816 acres in total, according to information taken from the county assessor's website.
