Ridgecrest Mayor Peggy Breeden filled the IWV Economic Outlook conference Feb. 27 in on new developments planned for the city of Ridgecrest including two hotels, two housing projects, 227 single-family homes, and one casino.

Breeden noted that construction on the casino is moving forward, litigation has been stopped, and that the agreement as amended with the tribe stands to increase payments to the city if the hotel is not built by the third year. She said if phase two of the project is never built, revenue goes from $11.5 million to $24.1 million.
