Tribal analysts issue ‘red alert’ for gambling law masquerading as coronavirus relief

SACRAMENTO — An amended State Senate bill packaged as COVID-19 relief goes beyond sports betting to change state Constitution, allowing for the expansion of gambling, according to legislative analysts for California’s Native American tribes, the very tribes purportedly aided by the legislation.
