One of the movies nominated for an Academy Award is about a bunch of controversial billboards in “Ebbing, Missouri.” The billboard that has been proposed by a local tribe for one of the most prominent intersections in town is making a similar stir.

The subject Thursday night was the Valley View Casino Expansion project, but the focus of most of the 25 or so residents was the five story double sided billboard that has been proposed by the San Pasqual tribe for the corner of North Lake Wohlford & Valley Center.
