Southern California’s tribal casinos have been in an expansion boom in recent years with multimillion dollar projects that have added lavish new hotel wings, expanded gaming floors, restaurants and more to those properties.

But this year was a little different. The novel coronavirus pandemic had mixed impacts on construction in 2020: it slowed down the construction of some projects; postponed the opening of others; and for some, had little to no impact.
