May 2010: Cloverdale Casino Site Headed for Foreclosure
Property purchased in Sonoma County, CA, by Sealaska in 2007 for the Cloverdale Band of Pomo Indians casino site appears to be headed for foreclosure. The property (see parcel info attached) was purchased in 2007 for $8 million +, a sum that exceeded the market value of the land. The company formed to handle the local project was called Amonos, LLC ("Sonoma" spelled backwards). Attached is the business info from the Secretary of State's web site for Amonos, LLC and Amonos II, LLC, both of which show an address of Sealaska Plaza in Juneau. On March 26, 2010, a default notice was posted for the property shown as "250 Lile Lane" in Cloverdale, (Sonoma Herald Recorder) The Trust Deed ("TD") is shown as $8,250,000, and Amonos, LLC is listed as Trustor, with Fidelity National Title out of Rancho Cordova, CA as Trustee. For background info is the 2007 local news coverage about the land purchase. SEE ATTACHMENTS IN RELATED ITEMS
