- AB 1361: Eduardo Garcia. Municipal water districts: water service: Indian tribes.
- This bill would additionally authorize a district to apply to the applicable local agency formation commission to provide this service of water to Indian lands, as defined, that are not within the district. The bill would require the local agency formation commission to approve the application and authorize the commission to impose conditions on the district with regard to the extension of service.

- May 24, 2017: Oversight Hearing Examining Impacts of Federal Natural Resources Laws Gone Astray
- Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations This oversight hearing will examine the federal government’s implementation of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934 (IRA), the Wilderness Act of 1964, and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA), with a specific focus of instances where federal agencies’ application of these three federal laws has strayed beyond their original purposes and intent, as passed by Congress decades ago. Certain actions taken by the federal government to implement these laws has resulted in burdensome regulations, costly litigation and other adverse consequences to American taxpayers. In addition to identifying abuses resulting from these federal laws, the hearing will identify potential clarifications and reforms to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the acts.
